2023 Race Details

What could be better than a Sprite-Midget Challenge race? How about three? Better yet, how about three races and three unique, fun tracks. Yes: The West Coast Sprite-Midget Challenge is coming to Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington, PIR in Portland, Oregon, and Thunderhill in Willows, California.

June 30-July 2
Pacific Raceways, Kent Washington
Pacific Raceways is the home track of SOVREN, the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts, our primary race host. This challenge race takes place amid three full days of vintage racing at the track, and it is the best attended vintage race of the season (drivers and fans). Local car clubs park in the ‘car corral’ adjacent to the front straight and usually get a few parade laps during the lunch break. What’s better than watching a race? Watching and then getting to drive the track in your street car!
Cost: $600 (before June 16) for three days of racing, including the challenge race.
Note: A Thursday afternoon Test & Tune session will be available for $249 from ProFormance Racing. We will add a registration link here when it is available.

September 9-10
Portland International Raceway, Portland, Oregon
Portland is the birth place of the Sprite-Midget Challenge. It’s a great facility and the race coincides with the annual Portland All British Field Meet, one of the largest British cars shows in North America. While we race, the show cars will be parked on a field right behind the paddock. Show participants can enter their cars in a slalom race at lunch time on both Saturday and Sunday.
Cost: $500 (prior to August 26) for two days of racing, including the challenge race.

November 3-5
Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows, California
We’re stoked to stage a challenge race closer to our California friends this year. Many of you have made the trek to Portland and/or Kent to race with us in the past and we look forward coming Thunderhill, home of ‘that one turn’, turn five, aka “The Cyclone”. A big thank you to CSRG for hosting this event, where we’ll be racing on the 3-mile track configuration.
Cost: $700 for two days of racing, including the challenge race.
Note: A Friday Test & Tune session will be available for an additional $99. Select this option at the Driver’s Registration link below.
