The International Sprite-Midget Challenge is pleased to welcome new drivers Evan Eldridge and Martin Maggio.
Evan is new to wheel-to-wheel racing, but has ample experience in track days and autocross. While we haven’t done the math, at age 20 Evan likely lowers the average age of our drivers by several decades!
Evan will be racing a 1967 Sprite with race history back to 1969. One of SOVREN’s first YoDA drivers, we are excited to welcome his enthusiasm and youthful energy into our paddock!

While Martin Maggio is new the SMC, he is not new to vintage racing, or even our race group and paddock area, nicknamed “Drip Pan Alley”; Martin has been racing with SOVREN since 2022, in a beautifully prepared 1961 Elva Courier.
Martin will race in the SMC in an historically significant 1963 MG Midget he acquired in 2024. Currently undergoing refurbishment and restoration, he hopes to join in the SMC fun later in 2025.
We all know Martin well and have raced with him many times, but we are thrilled to welcome him to the SMC events!
